MCW Pro Wrestling Presents the MCW Silver Anniversary Celebration: A Weekend of Unforgettable Wrestling Action and Exciting Fan Experiences
Baltimore, MD - MCW Pro Wrestling, one of the longest-running independent wrestling companies in the country, is thrilled to announce its upcoming Silver Anniversary Celebration, taking place this weekend Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23, 2023. This multi-day extravaganza will feature three incredible events held at the RJ Meyer Arena in Joppa, Maryland. Fans can expect an action-packed weekend filled with thrilling matches, meet and greets with legendary wrestlers, live stage shows, and much more.
The MCW Silver Anniversary Celebration kicks off with the "MCW Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup 22" on Saturday, July 22. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and the bell time is 7:00 PM. This event will feature nine colossal matches, including the main event, the 22nd Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup six-way elimination match. Reigning champion Flip Gordon will defend his title against the winners of five elimination qualifying matches, including such independent stars as Lio Rush, Jordan Oliver, "Speedball" Mike Bailey, Carlie Bravo, Marcus Mathers, Myles Hawkins and Jack Cartwheel.
On Sunday, July 23, MCW Fan Jam will captivate wrestling enthusiasts from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Doors open at 11:00 AM, and admission is completely FREE, making it the perfect family-friendly event. Fans will have the opportunity to engage in meet and greets, autograph signings, and photo ops with some of the biggest names in wrestling, such as Matt and Jeff Hardy, Mickie James, Eric Bischoff, Lio Rush, and "Speedball" Mike Bailey. The event will also showcase live stage shows featuring "Sessions" with AEW's Renee Paquette interviewing Matt and Reby Hardy, and "Strictly Business" with Eric Bischoff and Jon Alba. Attendees can participate in live Q&A sessions, pro wrestling trivia contests, and explore a wide variety of wrestling merchandise from industry vendors. Kids will have a blast with face painting, poster stations, and dress as your favorite wrestler costume contests.
The excitement continues on Sunday evening with "MCW Legacy." Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the bell time is 7:00 PM. MCW Pro Wrestling will honor its rich history with a night of wrestling action that fans will never forget. The main event features an epic rematch between AEW's Brian Cage and Impact Wrestling's New X Division Champion Lio Rush in a match dubbed "Cage vs Rush 2: The Lost Match Rematch." Every match on the card will pay tribute to the past 25 years of MCW, showcasing both legends of the past and rising stars of the present.
